Metal scrap with food contamination loses value and is rejected. So always ensure you clean them.

Some Aluminium foils are mixed with plastic and cannot be recycled as they are neither pure plastic nor pure metal.
Identify these by slowly tearing a corner. You can see the plastic pulling the foil layers together. Commonly found in some chocolate packaging.

TIPS TO REDUCE EXTRA WORK
Keep your aluminium with your dishes with a basic water rinse to remind yourself to clean them properly later. Use an old toothbrush or anything with bristles to clean out particles once you have the time. Warn others at home/househelp to not dispose them.
